Dr. Lim graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Biology and a concentration in Music. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. After completing her psychiatric internship at North Shore University Hospital on Long Island, she finished her adult psychiatry residency at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Lim then completed a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at The Payne-Whitney Clinic, Weill Cornell Department of Psychiatry in New York City.
She holds board certification in both Adult Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Dr. Lim has advanced training in psychodynamic psychotherapy. Her clinical expertise focuses on transitional challenges faced by college-age individuals, early career and work-related issues, and women’s mental health.
Drawing on her dual certification and analytic background, Dr. Lim approaches psychiatric care as a complex interplay between biology, unconscious processes, and life experience. She believes that meaningful healing involves more than symptom relief — it requires understanding the deeper narratives and emotional patterns that shape how we think, feel, and relate.
With a thoughtful and collaborative style, Dr. Lim helps her patients explore these layers at a pace that honors their readiness and resilience.
